The Country Kitty B&B began with an idea for a special place where pet owners could board their "feline friends". From scribbled notes and rough sketches to construction and an open house in June, 1999, Kip and Jean Grant felt they would be offering a greatly needed service. They had no idea that pet owners would be so enthusiastic and supportive or that The Country Kitty B&B would be recommended by so many veterinarians; an especially high compliment. They were honored by the praise for The Country Kitty B & B, its comfy guest rooms, and feline decor.

In the fall of 2006, when Lynn Conlon read the letter from the Grants explaining their decision to sell The Country Kitty B&B, she knew she had to figure out a way to keep The Country Kitty B&B intact. "What Kip and Jean created was too special to let go without a fight", Lynn recalls. "I hoped that if I could somehow give them enough time off, they would reconsider their decision to sell.” She reported to The Country Kitty B&B for kitty care boot camp and shortly thereafter started covering to give Kip and Jean a break now and then.

Soon after, Lynn decided that the only way to make sure The Country Kitty B&B would continue to provide the undeniably best cat care in the world, was to buy it herself, with the creators of this special place remaining as mentors, teachers, friends, and best of all, co-hosts. Uncle Kip and Aunt Jean, as the kitties have come to know and love them, remain part-time hosts at the B&B and continue to live on the premises. They are closely involved with Lynn in the operation of the facility, which is a happy circumstance for everyone.

Their working relationship is the best of all worlds for Lynn, Kip and Jean, and most importantly, for you the customers. The Country Kitty B&B tradition of outstanding cat care continues!
